Before and After (Screen)

February 10, 2010

This was one sad and ugly screen! At first glance I wasn’t even sure if it was worth the $10.00 it cost.

(This is the photo taken after the wallpaper was stripped off.)

I primed the entire thing with Kilz (love that stuff) and spray painted the back of the screen and the frame of the front black. I also painted the hinges and screws that hold the screen together black.

Then came the fun part, the fabric. The fabric is from Hobby Lobby and of course was on sale. I glued the fabric directly onto the screen along the perimeter.

Then I got out the hot glue gun and attached this trim to the edge of the fabric to give it a finished look.

The finished screen!

I personally think it was worth the $35.00 it ended up costing! I just hope my client likes it!
