Vintage Dresser Makeover & A Moodboard

November 9, 2010

I thought I’d try something new today sorta a twist on just a before and after piece of furniture.  Of course I’ll show you the before and after but I’m also going to show you how you can possibly use the piece in a room.

I bought this dresser awhile back and unfortunately you have to use your imagination a bit because my computer’s hard-drive crashed awhile back so this is the only before photo.  The drawers are on the floor!

I wanted to do something different then just paint the dresser black or white so I came up with an idea to paint it 2 different colors, I thought the piece would look great in a modern nursery, it could even be used as a changing table, all you would have to do is place a pad on top.  Here is the after!

(The piece is staying in the garage because it’s for my shop I’m opening at Midland Antiques in January)

Here’s what the piece looks like with some modern nursery accessories!

Olivia Crib Walmart

Modern Mobile

Dwell Bedding

West Elm Zig Zag Rug

Also I set up a linky on Sunday so people can show off their own furniture makeovers and any sort of design or decorating project, so please if you have time take a look and even better link up.  I’ll be doing it every Sunday and it’s called Sweet Skills Sunday!

    1. I’m a night owl but unfortunately that’s not so great having to be up so early every morning plus Drew’s gone so much with work and my 12 year old daughter suddenly seems to be gone too with a million activities which leaves me with alot of free time!!
