Happy Thanksgiving

November 23, 2011

I finally finished the table today and I’m thinking maybe I’m only going to have to make one more trip to the grocery store.

This is my “good” china from Williams Sonoma Home and sadly I really do only use this for Thanksgiving and I also always end up using fall colors in my design scheme since my china is brown and off white.

This is the buffet, I didn’t do too much, just some gourds. I cut the top off of one and inserted the glass hurricane.

This is my Goodwill find Mr. Turkey. I was going to spray paint him (shocker) off white but I sorta like him like I found him. Ya Ya (Grandma) really really hates birds so obviously I’m sure Mr. Turkey will end up near her at some point during the dinner!!

Do you see the candle holders? They are rolls of twine!

Of course no Thanksgiving would be complete without pulling out my pilgrims I made for my grandma when I was in preschool! I think about her every time I pull these out in the fall and I miss her and her Thanksgivings very much!

I hope you all have an awesome Thanksgiving!!! I’ll be back on Monday!!!

    1. Love your china pattern, a modern version of antique brown transferware. So chic. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
