Keeping it Real

August 6, 2012

Sometimes I get comments or emails from my readers or friends will ask me how do I do it all and the answer to that is easy…I don’t even come close to doing it all.  I’d love to be able to do it all and I stay up at night stressing out that I can’t do it all but in the end a lot does not get done.

Need proof??

This has become the catch all room.  Initially this room was going to be my office but I got pregnant last year so the room was cleared out but sadly our daughter, Spencer was born very prematurely and did not make it so the nursery was put on hold and slowly things began creeping back into the room even though I’d moved my office to our small loft space on the second floor of our house.

Well as luck would have it I found out I was pregnant again and even luckier the doctors finally figured out what had gone wrong in the past and I was diagnosed with an incomplete cervix so at 13 weeks I had a cerclage done to prevent an early delivery and knock on wood the cerclage is holding strong and I hit a big milestone this week of 7 months!

I hope this explains why my posts have been infrequent and the projects have slowed down.  I was extremely sick my first trimester, feeling better my second trimester but was on moderate bed rest and now that I’m in my final trimester I’ve been restricted even more but luckily since everything has been going so good I’m not on complete bed rest.

So we have finally decided to start working on the baby’s room, I’ve been hesitant and a part of me wasn’t sure if I even wanted to start the room until after the baby was born but my husband has convinced me that it’s important to have a positive attitude and he’s absolutely right.  (Don’t tell him I said that.) Besides it’s motivating me to do something about this room that has been keeping me up at night!

I can’t wait to show you the progress and I’m going to update you weekly until the room is complete.  (Mainly because it will motivate us to get it done.)

Thanks to all my friends on Facebook and my House to your Home page for all the kind words, I am a big believer in the power of positive thinking and prayers so keep em’ coming!!  If you like to follow House to your Home you can click here!
