Thanksgiving Table

November 21, 2012

I just wanted to share with everyone our Thanksgiving table this year.  I went pretty simple this year and didn’t do any sort of “craft” projects to put the table together.  I also decided to use natural elements.

The side buffet is pretty sparse… it’s because it will be filled with desserts which face it is way more important then pretty design!

I used a black tablecloth that we already owned, the black and natural bamboo placemats were from Meijer and only cost $2.00 a piece.  Like always I used my Williams Sonoma Home china.

The middle of the table was super simple.  The wood is a piece of poplar that I bought at Lowes.  I simply watered down brown and black paint and rubbed the paint on the wood to make it look like stain.  The candles are the type you buy in bundles, I got mine from Target but you can get these anywhere.  The centerpiece is rosemary from Lowes.  (Who knew you could decorate your table with items from a hardware store right?)  Then I added succulents (easy and impossible to kill) and I cut pieces from my fern to put in the small bud vases.

This was the easiest table I have ever put together and I whipped it up in about 30 minutes.

Do you follow me on Pinterest?  I was excited to see a previous Thanksgiving table of mine getting lots of action of there!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!  It’s seriously my favorite holiday of the year and this year I have so much to be thankful for and am feeling truly blessed!
