Cooper turned 5 months old today and in my eyes only seems to get cuter and sweeter! He’s past the newborn stage and is a full-fledged baby who enjoys playing in his exersaucer, smiling when he wakes up and talking non-stop to anyone who will listen to him and I’m pretty sure he believes he has alot to say! He also loves baths and getting his face wet. He’s a big drooling machine who almost constantly has his hands in his mouth to relieve the teething pain.
He’s almost sitting up by himself and is learning how to pick up some of his bigger toys and rattles although sometimes he’s not quite sure how to manipulate those hands of his and they come pounding down on the table or one of our faces. He’s also loves to pull Sloan’s hair!
He’s wearing a size 3-6 months but closer to 6 months. He has transitioned to his crib but is still waking up around 5:30 to nurse and snuggle with me in a bed. He seems to enjoy sitting in his chair at night while I read him a story and hasn’t cried too much when I’ve put him in his crib. Nighttime with him is my favorite part of the day and I’m enjoying having a few hours to spend with Drew and Sloan since he’s going to bed at 9:00 p.m.
Unfortunately he seems to be suffering from terrible separation anxiety from me and poor Drew gets a baby that cries non-stop when I leave to take Sloan to volleyball.
I’m having such a great time with him but find myself having mini anxiety attacks because time seems to be speeding by and I’m already worried before I know it he won’t be a baby, I have to keep reminding myself to slow down and be in the moment!
So with all of that being said, I’m off to enjoy the moment!! Have a great weekend!!!
