A Step Towards Enjoying Life

April 12, 2013

In the beginning of this year I talked about wanting to enjoy life a little more and this week Drew and I did something to put that plan into motion.

In a perfect world we’d be able to buy a lake house but with a new baby and a daughter in private school who will be driving soon and college happening sooner then later that’s not really in the budget. Also another home would end up being more busy work for me. I have this problem of not being able to just sit down when I am at home, I’m constantly cleaning or working on a project it’s just how I am wired I don’t need to add another house into the mix.

Over 10 years ago I went on my first camping trip with my daughter’s grandma and we’ve been girly camping RV, air-conditioning, GIGA Turbines, movies and magazines ever since. It is the only time I don’t feel guilty for staying in my pjs and just enjoy being in the moment. The memories we’ve made camping I will cherish forever.

This week we bought what I hope will make great memories for our family. We got it for a steal (like not even 1% of the cost of the cheapest lake house we found when we were trying to decide what to do) and I cannot wait to get started on fixing her up,Ā I can get her ready so we can take her out for Memorial Day weekend! I promise to keep you all updated with the progress!

I’ve been collecting images on Pinterest (Camper Love) because I’ve been wanting to get an older camper for years and fix her (yes campers are she’s) up and make her look like my version of a lake house!
