I was going to do a thrift store/goodwill post today but I posted a photo on Instagram this morning and decided to do this one first, since I slipped and showed off a newly made over chair. (I’ll do the goodwill post tomorrow!)
Awhile back I did a post on a chair I made over and this is how it turned out. If you’d like to see the before you can go to my furniture page and read about it.
I made over the chair specifically to sell at my booth at the Carmel Antique Mall but sadly the chair was one of the few things that didn’t sell. So when I closed shop the chair sat in my garage and then one day I felt sad for my little chair gathering dust and decided to bring it into the house, but it needed a little makeover because it didn’t match. (Even though I’m a firm believer animal print is a neutral!)
I took apart the chair and lightly sanded it. (Took like 5 minutes.)
Out came the spray paint! I used two cans of Rust-Oleum’s Painters Touch Ultra Cover 2x in Heirloom White in satin.
I’m not quite sure how long the chair will stay in the living room but for now it’s something fun and different. It may move to a different room and I may just sell it, I’m not quite sure, honestly my name is Laurie and I’m a chair addict!!
Seriously though I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of any type of animal print!!
