Wedding Outfit On a Budget

wedding outfit on a budget

I have a wedding to attend on Friday, which means I had to put together a wedding outfit on a budget for me to wear that didn’t break the bank but still looked good.  The wedding is a pretty special one, my baby sister is getting married and I’m super excited for her. Kaitlin is my sister-in-law (I never call her that though, she’s always just been my sister) from my first marriage and the short story is I got her and her mom, who is also one of my best friends in the divorce).  I have known Kaitlin since the day she was born and can’t believe she is getting married.

This summer has been full of bridal showers, bachelorette parties, gifts and many trips up north to my hometown.  My daughter Sloan is also in the wedding so there’s her dress and everything that goes with being a bridesmaid and of course Cooper has be dressed to the nines too which left little money for mama’s outfit.  I decided to shop my closet (ok and I bought a necklace and a pair of earrings).  I started with the one thing every girl should own…the little black dress (I may own a few more than just one)!

Get this ever single thing is from Target, I don’t usually do a whole outfit from one store just like I usually don’t buy everything for a room from one store but it just worked out that way.  I decided to stick with gold and black.  Sometimes simple is best.  I spent less than $30.00 on the necklace and earrings and they are both something I can get a lot of use out of even after the wedding.

Unfortunately, I can’t link up most of what I’m wearing because everything is older and no longer for sale.  Here’s the links to the necklace and earrings though!

The little black dress never disappoints!!  The wedding is on Friday and if you’d like please follow me on instagram, I’ll for sure be posting photos of the big day!!
