Design Inspiration Through a Photo Dump

September 5, 2013

I’ve been in an organizing frenzy lately.  I’ve been working on multiple projects (decorating ADHD) like both of the kids rooms and the kitchen.  I also decided to organize my computer and my iPhone and update all the software, clean things up, which meant importing 1120 photos into my computer from my phone.

Granted the majority of the photos are of Cooper and Sloan but some of them are actually design related and I thought it I’d do a post on them today so they’re in one place and I can get rid of the photos from my phone.

I read a ton and when I’m doing pick ups and drops off for my daughter I’m usually scouring the internet for design inspiration.  Here’s some of the photos I’ve saved!

I love this pretty vignette and what a great and simple idea just using a pretty piece of tile as a coaster!

I still need to buy The Great American House.   Actually I have a list of books I need to buy.  We’ll see if it happens this year.

Anna Spiro can do know wrong as far as I’m concerned!  I love everything about the photo above!  She’s always on trend I mean large pink houndstooth, yes please!

Stripes, leopard, green and a jean jacket!  Yea this is a fall outfit must have!

How easy could these plates be to make?  Another project  on the to do list!  White plates, gold pen and a stove!

(Veranda Magazine)

I need some brass sconces for my bedroom like now especially after seeing this photo in Veranda magazine that showed them off next to the bed I actually have!  Hmm… maybe I need those sheets too!

Blank canvas, black paint and some gold paint for the edges…and why haven’t I done one of these paintings yet?

(Emily Clark)

Gosh, if I wasn’t so lazy I’d so paint one of my ceilings!  I love Emily Clark’s little girls room!  The punch of red on top makes the space doesn’t it!

(Simple Living)

If there every was a fabric made for me this would be it!  Burlap and gold dots seriously!  I think this explains my design style completely!!  This would also be a easy DIY too!

(Eddie Ross)

Ok, I know I have a lot of favorite designers/decorators but really, no really Eddie Ross is one of my absolute favorites of all time!  His gift of mixing high and low is perfection!  I’d kill to go thrift shopping with that man!!

This orange desk reminds me of Hermes orange!  It just looks rich to me!  I need to incorporate orange in my house!

Love this gift wrapping by The Nester!  I always have big plans for my gift wrapping and end up using a bag!  I even have a whole board on pinterest dedicated to gift wrapping!

Do you follow Amber Interiors?  If you don’t you should!  She has great style both with her accessories, clothing and design style!  I’m always on the hunt for new pillows for the living room!

I love this design board!  I think a lot of these elements would work great in my living room especially for this fall!

Whew!!  So I feel so much better to have my phone cleaned up and backed up.  I would’ve been so sad if I would’ve lost some of the photos and videos I had on it!

Phone done, computer done, next up my closet, but that’s a whole crazy new mess!  Stay tuned!!

    1. I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the
layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays.
