I bought the malm occasional table over a year ago at Ikea and was hoping to use it under my television but the table ended up being too long for the wall and sat too low for the television (yea so much for my interior design classes, I think that teachers desk in classroom will always be of great use) and just looked really bad so I decided to let Sloan use it in her room as a desk, a very long narrow desk.
Notice the snakeskin? It’s the same masking tape I used on my daughter’s small pink tray!
The gold heart is a cool addition to the room from Urban Walls. The artwork is by an artist I discovered awhile back on FB, his name is Cary Chun Lee. Sloan really loves art, I’ve been taking her to the Indianapolis Art Museum since she was just a little girl and she’s very particular about what’s on her walls. I love this about her.
I have to keep the entire desk a mystery for a bit, Sloan has requested just “one more thing.” Hopefully I’ll get to the requested project soon. I need to finish up on a little of my fall decorating before fall is over!
