One Room Challenge – Week 5

One Room Challenge – Week 5

The One Room Challenge is at week 5 and I’d love to say I’m so close to being done but that would be a total lie.  I did get a lot of shopping done for all the odds and ends that come with pulling a room together.  Now it’s just a matter of executing all those little odds and ends.

I picked up some fabric for the window and a small stool I found for the bathroom.

I also found the mirrors and a shelf.  The mirrors were 50% off from Hobby Lobby and had a few scratches on them (that I touched up with a black marker) and so I asked for an additional discount on them and they gave me 15% off each of the mirrors, so that’s 65% off each mirror!  Score!  They were exactly what I was looking for, they are large but yet are not super heavy so they should be easy to hang.

Here’s what still needs to get done.

1.  Touch ups to the vanity.

2.  Hang the mirrors.

3.  Install the lighting.

4.  Oh wait I need to paint the lighting first!

5.  Make the curtains & install.

6.  Recover the stool.

7.  Hang the towel bars.

8.  Finish up the artwork.

9.  Stain the shelf & install.

10.  Find new trash can.

11.  Let’s face it tweak and put everything together.

Seriously I can totally do this!  If I keep saying it maybe I’ll believe it!?

If you’d like to see what everyone else is up with the One Room Challenge please make sure to head on over to Calling it Home!  It’s pretty cool knowing there are so many people working on completing a room at the same time!

  1. I’m sure that you will get it all done. Some one once gave me this little piece of advice – “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, So, just take a deep breath and go one step at a time – it will get done!” I live by that little ditty. (BTW, I’m hoping to finish up my room too!)

  2. I checked back to see more of this bathroom and those fabrics are going to be great! Love the round mirrors….I am actually looking for one so I might have to make a trip to Hobby Lobby. Thanks for the tip!
