My Thanksgiving Table

thanksgiving table

This is the first year in a very long time that I have not hosted Thanksgiving.  In reality I didn’t need to set the Thanksgiving table but decided to do it anyways but just for the 4 of us.  I’ve also decided to do a pre-Thanksgiving dinner just the 4 of us (seriously I’ll find any excuse for green bean casserole and pumpkin pie!)

In case you missed it here is yesterday’s post on my past Thanksgiving tables.

Let me remind you I spent zero dollars and just shopped my house and my backyard!

Here is my Thanksgiving table for 2013!

The pinecones came from our backyard.  The name tags (you know in case the 4 of us suddenly forget where we always sit) are made of the same kraft wrapping paper as the runner.  Drew bought me the wishbone napkin holders from Pottery Barn last Christmas.  I heart them.

The baby’s breath is from my master bathroom reveal from last week.  Never in a million years did I ever think I’d use baby’s breath but I’m sorta liking it lately.  The centerpiece is from our tall grasses we planted in our back yard a few years ago.

I stenciled the kraft paper in the center of the table with a Martha Stewart stencil from Michaels and some white poster paint.  I also painted my gold chargers with black chalkboard paint.  I didn’t write anything on the plates I chose the paint because I love the flat finish.

I thought I’d show you that I brought in my monogram that was on my front door this summer and put it inside for the winter.  (Just think Cooper’s birthday decorations were still up just 2 days prior to this photo…ummm yea life’s been a little busy!)

    1. um yes. it’s perfect. you need to host a mini thanksgiving just so you can all sit there!

    1. What is the name of the green paint on your sideboard? I love it!

    1. Beautiful, beautiful table (and entire room, seriously). I love the colors you used, and especially that you didn’t spend anything to pull this together. Awesome job!
