The Christmas Porch (Holiday Decorating 2013)

christmas porch

Sorry for the silence this week, the site was down for some much needed maintenance.

Today I’m wrapping up my Christmas tour (check out my Holiday Decorating on the right side bar) and showing you all my front porch.  It didn’t change too much from last year.  I tend to keep the same decorations for a few years but switched it up a little bit.  This will be the last year for the red and silver outside.  (Mainly because the red ornaments are starting to fade and are turning a slight shade of orange!)

Here’s a reminder of the front porch last year.  You can also read about it here.

And this is this year’s Christmas porch!

I love how it snowed perfectly just in time for me to take my photos.  It’s so pretty!

I sprayed my monogram silver.  I have a feeling I’ll be spraying my monogram lots!  I also cut down the shrubs in front of the door that I had used for my fall porch.

That’s washi tape on my planters.  I love how pretty the ornaments look on the bottom of the planters.

The ribbons were actually left over from last year’s gift wrapping.  The silver bow is from Target.

The red snow flake pillows are from Target and are probably 4 years old, the black and white one (also from Target) was super popular on all the blogs this summer, in fact I used it this summer too.

The silver bucket actually holds our drinks in the summer.

So that’s it, the only thing bought were the stars that I placed in the tree.  Seriously I feel like I’m always more creative and happier with the final project the less money I spend!

    1. Hello I am so delighted I found your web site, I really found you
by error, while I was browsing on Aol for something else, Regardless
I am here now and would just like to say cheers for a incredible post and a all round thrilling blog (I also love the theme/design), I
don’t have time to read through it all at the moment but I have saved it and also included your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will
be back to read a great deal more, Please do keep up the excellent work.

    1. Hello, i think that i saw you visited my blog so i came to “return the favor”.I am attempting to find things to improve my web site!I suppose its ok to use a few of your ideas!!

    1. Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform
you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

    1. Greate pieces. Keep posting such kind of information on your blog.
Im really impressed by your blog.
Hello there, You have done a fantastic job. I’ll definitely digg it and in my opinion recommend to my friends.
I am confident they’ll be benefited from this web site.

    1. I think that what you typed made a bunch of sense.
However, think about this, what if you wrote a catchier title?
I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, but suppose you added a post
title that makes people want more? I mean The Christmas Porch (Holiday
Decorating 2013) | Laurie Jones Home is a little boring.
You might look at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they
create news headlines to get viewers interested.
You might add a video or a related picture or
two to get people interested about what you’ve written. Just my
opinion, it might make your posts a little livelier.
