Hi everyone!!  I’m slowly getting back to the blogging thing, I gotta admit it was sorta nice to get away for a bit and unplug.   No FB, no twitter, no blogging (I can’t stop you instagram)!  I’ve been enjoying time with the family and making goals for 2014.  I have no doubt it’s going to be a busy and great year for Laurie Jones Home!

If you’d like to see what was up in 2013 the best way is to click here and it will give you a detailed list of all my posts!

Here are some of my favorite things that happened this year!!!

A New Year’s Resolution to slow down.  Maybe things got a little crazy at the end of the year but I for sure focused more on family this year and only taking on things that I could handle.

Here are some things I’m most proud of!

I finished my dining room.

I got a little shout out from West Elm.

A little change and organization became my most pinned image on Pinterest for 2013!

My bundt cake planter went viral.  (It’s the no brainer things that always seems to get the most buzz!)

Not only did I get some things done around the house I have to give a shout out to some amazing girls who helped me in 2013.

The best money I ever spent was hiring KariAnne from the Thistlewood Farm to help me grow my blog!  She’s amazing and smart and really good at what she does and her advice worked big time!!!

Aimee from It’s Over Flowing showed off my home tour on her blog, and I met a lot of new friends because of it!  (If you like home tours she’s has lots of great ones!!)

I met a lot of great girls for dinner because Sarah from a “little” blog called Thrifty Decor Chick wrote a post about Indy Girls.  I hope we can all find time to do it again a few times in 2014!

Emily Clark showed off Cooper’s bedroom and there’s even more really great girls I connected with that I linked up and talked about here.

I did a little trash picking‘!!!

Sloan’s room got a makeover (again)!

My biggest and most fun project was the One Room Challenge that Linda from Calling It Home hosts twice a year!  You can click here to get all 6 weeks of my bathroom makeover from start to finish!

And of course some furniture got makeovers!!

And before I take it down and if you’re not sick of Christmas I posted a home tour of my house for Christmas this year!

Thank you to all the readers who come to the blog everyday and thank you to all the girls who blog and support me!  I am beyond blessed to be able to do what I do and am really looking forward to 2014!

Happy New Years everyone!  I’ll be back next week and share some plans I have in store here at Laurie Jones Home!!!
