I had the opportunity to
getaway runaway for the first time since Cooper was born…no husband, no kids. I was excited, probably too excited. I had no real plans but to hang out with my mother-in-law, her sister and my Granny Kaye.
We ate Mexican, we drank strong margaritas, I got my hair cut and colored. I didn’t worry about anyone needing to be anywhere or making sure to get home in time to put the baby down for a nap or bedtime. No one told me they were bored. No one told me they were hungry. Yea…this weekend was good!
We went to a farmer’s market, it’s one of my favorites. It’s called the Chesterton’s European Market.
They have all my favorite things! Flowers!
Carbs! Homemade chocolate croissants made by nuns, yes please!
Cheese! Isn’t it gorgeous? Can you say that about cheese?
My favorite was this jewelry booth. It was styled to perfection!
Loved this idea to display earrings! The suitcase the mirror, every little detail was thought about!
In the evening we ate homemade chicken and noodles, read design magazines, drank coffee and ate mountain dew peach dumplings! It was so good and I’m not a mountain dew girl!
It was so great to have a little me time and I’m going to make it a point to not wait 2 years before I do it again! A little recharge was just what I needed!
I’m having a little furniture sale this weekend in order to go towards the bedroom makeover budget so I came home ready to get things rolling! Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!
