Laurie Jones Home Foyer (Update No. 500)

We’ve lived in our house for about 6 years now.  It’s the longest we’ve ever lived anywhere.  I’m excited to say that for the first time ever we have no plans on moving anytime soon.

Now that I know we’re staying, I’ve been making some tweaks to the house because let’s face it my style has changed since we first moved in.  The before photo was taken 2 weeks after we moved in.  I wish the front door actually looked that good, it’s fake plastic wood.

I decided to keep the space neutral using ivory, beige, gray and black.  I love how it turned out!  I feel like it takes a long time for me to find my groove in my own space and I feel like I finally hit it!

The furniture pieces in the space are both from garage sales and both cost less than $10.00.  I’ve painted the chest like 4 times already.  This time with gray chalk paint from Michaels.  Literally took me less than 30 minutes!

Painting the doors black was a great decision in my opinion!  I also spray painted the antlers black too!  The gold mirror was from the Goodwill Outlet.  One of my favorite scores!  It reminds me a little of this mirror that I’ve had pinned and even cut out of magazine before pinterest like foreverrrr!

I love a neutral space but I love adding texture and layers.

    1. I love the neutral pallet Laurie! So simple and chic! The texture of your rug and the glam of the gold mirror are to die for. Like you, it has taken me a long time to find my groove in my home; so happy to hear that I’m not the only one!
